Marcus Sanford

For 22 years, I have helped organizations of all sizes understand their data and make more informed business decisions.

My experience is in diverse business sectors including:

  • Government
  • Higher Education
  • Financial Services
  • Enterprise Software
  • Manufacturing
  • Food Production & Safety
  • Business Services
  • Political/Advocacy/Non-Profit

And more. I help organizations define their measurement strategy, set up website tagging/tracking, and then analyze on the results to provide actionable recommendations for optimization.

Some results I’ve produced for clients:

  • Led process of building an in-house SEO team for a marketing agency, driving 4x their revenue from this service in less than 8 months.
  • Helped a credit union get visibility into the ROI of mortgage promotions, and ran their paid digital campaigns which resulted in a gain of $8.60 in interest revenue for every $1 spent.
  • Provided a managed services & colocation firm with insights that helped them increase lead generation by over 25% while cutting their paid digital ad budget in half.
  • While spending less than half of our opponent, helped a local judicial candidate win election by over 65% of the vote.
  • Developed analysis and recommendations which helped a flooring manufacturer make consistent gains of 15%-30% more leads generated for 8 consecutive quarters.

I like to work by discussing your goals and desired outcomes from digital activity to come up with the best options that fit your company, clients and budget.

More about me:

As a marketing leader, I strive to create a culture of inclusion, empathy, and humility. My goals are to care for every team member as an individual and support their career and personal growth. We all have something to learn from each other, regardless of the level of the organization we inhabit.

After leading reporting for a marketing agency, I became an independent marketing consultant in 2019. My clients include marketing and advertising agencies across the country, top colleges and universities, federal and state government agencies, and businesses of all sizes.

As the co-founder of Ignite Consulting in Austin, Texas, I led 100+ community advocacy campaigns. The efforts I consulted for established a commuter rail system, created community health clinics for underserved populations, funded development of parks, trails, bicycle infrastructure and safer roads. I was a founding board member of Austin CarShare, the first nonprofit car sharing organization in the southern United States.
